Traditional Slovakian woodwind instruments
Welcome to my pages about traditional Slovakian flutes that I make. All the instruments on this site are hand-made from natural materials in a traditional way by myself. Here you can find information about the instruments, sound samples and photos, playing techniques and fingering charts, as well as ordering information and prices.
In a nutshell: The fujara is a very long bass flute with 3 finger holes and an attached windpipe. The "koncovka" is an overtone flute with no side holes, played by overblowing. The shepherd flute is a 6-hole 2-register fully chromatic whistle. And there are more (see Instruments).
Thank you for buying traditional folk products directly from their makers.
